A clear process makes the website easier to finish.

A website project gets messy when decisions are made out of order. I keep the process focused so we are not designing random sections before we know what the site needs to say.

The Process

A clear website process, without making it harder than it needs to be.

Each step is designed to move the site from scattered ideas to a finished website that looks polished, makes sense, and is easier to use.

01

Sort

We sort out what the site needs to do.

First, we look at your business, your offers, your audience, your current content, and what action you want people to take. This gives the site a clear job before we start making it look good.

We’ll clarify

  • Who the site is for
  • What you offer
  • What pages you need
  • What visitors need to know
  • What action they should take
  • What content already exists
  • What needs to be written, edited, or simplified

02

Structure

I organize the information into pages and sections.

This is where the website starts to make sense. I map out the flow, decide what belongs where, and create a structure that helps visitors move through the site naturally.

This helps prevent

  • Too much information in one place
  • Important details getting buried
  • Confusing navigation
  • Weak calls to action
  • Pages that look nice but do not explain enough

03

Design

I design the site around the content.

Once the structure is clear, the design has a purpose. The visuals support the message, guide the eye, and make the business feel polished and trustworthy.

What the design needs to do

01

First impression

Make the business feel professional, current, and relevant quickly.

02

Page flow

Guide people from one section to the next without making them work.

03

Visual hierarchy

Help visitors skim the page and still understand the main points.

04

Trust signals

Use details, proof, and helpful cues to make the business feel credible.

05

Mobile layout

Keep the site clean, readable, and easy to use on a phone.

06

Manageability

Build in a way that keeps normal updates realistic.

04

Refine

We review, adjust, and clean up the details.

You’ll have a chance to review the site and request changes. We refine the sections, spacing, images, wording, and flow so the final site feels complete.

The goal is not to keep changing the site forever. The goal is to make sure each part helps the visitor understand, trust, and take the next step.

Refine things like

  • Section flow
  • Headlines and copy
  • Visual balance
  • Mobile experience
  • Trust details
  • Calls to action
  • Final polish

05

Launch + Handoff

You get a finished site you can actually use.

Once the site is approved, we get it ready to launch and make sure the important pieces are working. This is where the website moves from almost done to live, polished, and ready for people to visit.

After launch, I’ll also walk you through the basics so you know how to make normal updates without feeling stuck every time something changes.

We make sure

  • The site works well on mobile
  • The links, buttons, and forms are working
  • The main SEO details are in place
  • The design feels polished and complete
  • You know how to make basic updates
  • You’re not afraid to touch your own website

Project details, without the guesswork

A few practical things we’ll sort out before, during, and after the build.

  • Existing site: We’ll figure out where your domain, website, email, shop, booking tools, and connected services are hosted so we know what needs to stay, move, or be replaced.

Fresh start: We’ll choose and purchase your domain, set up the right platform, and make sure the basic pieces are connected properly from the beginning.

  • Squarespace will now host your website. We’ll select the plan best for your project. Those fees are separate from my design fee. And I’ll help you understand what you need before anything is connected.

  • Once the scope is clear, I send a proposal and simple agreement so the project, pricing, timeline, and expectations are clear.

  • Whatever you’ve got! Logo files, photos, brand colors, mood boards, examples you like, service details, key offers, and anything you already have written.

  • If we’re building in Squarespace, I’ll help you set up or access the account so the site is connected to you, not hidden under my login.

  • You’ll review the site, give feedback, and we’ll refine the layout, wording, spacing, images, and flow.

  • The site will be built with mobile in mind. Some desktop details may simplify on smaller screens so the mobile version stays clean and usable.

  • Links, buttons, forms, mobile layout, basic SEO, image sizing, and domain connection are checked before launch.

  • You’ll get basic guidance so you can make normal updates without feeling stuck.

Have any questions?

Websites come with a lot of decisions: pages, copy, photos, pricing, platforms, timelines, and all the little details that make it feel finished.

If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s completely fine. Send over your questions, and I’ll help you figure out the simplest next step.
